Nine months of organising, many many meetings, ideas, passion..... and most of all a vision to hold a festival showcasing the enormous talent in the Southern Highlands region of NSW.
This is just a small snapshot of what was achieved in our little village of Burrawang over the October long weekend.
JUST LIKE BIRTH.....PAINFUL AT TIMES,
BUT IT WAS SO WORTH IT IN THE END...
Clever design by Harriet Goodall - Pallets and fresh greenery
Artworks by Jasper Knight and Laura Jones- Gallery Ecosse
Putting it all together by Luci-D interiors
OUR VERY OWN BURRAWANG LOCAL TALENT
Mr & Mrs Munro and Phil Young
Over 2 days.... thousands of people visited our beautiful Burrawang School of Arts.
Jewellery, ceramics, mosaic, furniture, pottery, leather, textiles.....it was all here.
A very busy area over the weekend....
No event is complete without roast beef rolls by Maugers meats.
Lots of smiling helpers.....
One of the workshops that I visited was with the talented Natalie Miller - weaving with leather.
Our band line up were.....
Eleven Eleven Nation, Nyssa and Alex, Compass, Dave & Monique and the Blue Hours Blues band. Take a bow, you were all amazing!
The week leading up to the Saturday night event....everyone of us must have checked our weather apps at least twice a day for the long range weather forecast..... and yes...it was the most perfect of nights!
The Burrawang Pub was the venue for the Saturday night party. A sold out event. Thank you Ed, Julie, Byron and staff.
Carlos Barrios doing a "live painting"
Thank you to everyone, who without your invaluable help and expertise none of this would have been possible. I and many others will never forget this most amazing of weekends.
Thanks to our sponsors and partners....
A huge thanks also to Jan Campbell, Elizabeth Crundall, Skye and David Leckie for making the fundraising night such a memorable and successful event.
