A TUESDAY NIGHT QUICKIE...............

Got the timer going? First up you will need Beurre Bosc Pears......

Left over, yes left overs people. Remember the Candied Cumquats that we did a couple of weeks ago....... well, I always save some of the extra poaching liquid and pop in the fridge for midweek quick and easy dinner party nights. 

Place peeled pears in that syrupy, citrusy and just plain delicious liquid in a saucepan....cover. 

I poached these pears for approximately 45min to an hour, depending how firm and large the pears are. Mine were a petite size...... take off heat and leave to cool in liquid. That is it! Just have to plate up later.


Light fire......I might just stand here for a bit......

Set table.....that's the other fire by the way that ticks over all day.....I will just go and stand by that too....

Light a gazillion candles.....

Ta Da!  Ok....we did have some food in between.....but there you have it. 

Place pears in any fancy glass bowl you might have...drizzle with that golden syrup and I topped off pears with a slice of candied cumquat. Some dollop cream on the side.......heaven.
