The Bowral Tulip Festival has to be one the most beautiful times of the year in the Southern Highlands. Over 100,000 tulips and 25,000 annuals will be planted and the colour combinations are just spectacular. I believe this year the theme is yellow. There will also be a street parade and vintage cars on the 20th of September and street markets on the 27th and 28th of September. Click on the link for further information.
Here is just a small taste of photos that I took last year.
Purple and yellow combinations.
Even if you are not a gardener what a lovely way to spend the morning wandering around the tulip beds. Did you know that when the festival is over, and the tulips die down, you can dig the tulips up for a small price ..... just bring your trowel with you.
CWA will be there serving up their light as a feather scones.
I love my scones and we have them regularly at home. Hope mine are up to scratch CWA ladies!
How gorgeous are these wine barrels......
Lots of open gardens will be open over that 2 week period. So much to see and do....
This is when the Southern Highlands is at it's best.
Hope to see you there!
