FLOWER IDEAS......

I won't lie to you....... I can't wait for Spring and the warmer weather to arrive...... bring it on I say!

As soon as that calendar clicks over to the 1st September.......watch out everyone because I will be leaping out of bed in the morning and there will be no more hiding under the covers.

I want to, yes, want to, Spring clean the house, while at the same time flinging all the windows and doors open.

This is when I start planning what to do in the garden for the warmer months (more of that next week) and of course flowers, picking lots and lots of flowers.

EVEN WITH ALL THE RAIN WE HAVE HAD IT HAS NOT RUINED THE PRUNUS.

EVEN WITH ALL THE RAIN WE HAVE HAD IT HAS NOT RUINED THE PRUNUS.

USE DIFFERENT SHAPED BOTTLES, JARS.......ANYTHING THAT IS IN YOUR CUPBOARD

DISPLAY THEM WITH DIFFERENT HEIGHTS TO CREATE MORE INTEREST

We have had a few weeks of rain and everything seems a bit grey and bleak outside. But what a difference it makes to just pick or buy a few blooms and spend half and hour or so creating little vignettes of happiness in your home.

I am a lover of anything citrus as you know and love teaming them up with flowers.

Dreary and rainy outside......white jug......white Lisianthus = Brighten any dark corner of a room.

Smell.... will invoke happy Spring thoughts.

I saw these cute little bird candles in all sorts of colours......orange spoke to me of course.

Don't forget the bathroom.....sweet peas....pop them in an old fashioned vase for something different.

Outside tables..... give them a makeover.....

Every time you look out the window your heart will sing.

I love having flowers floating away in my birdbath....this is my view from my desk.

Hellebores The Winter Rose will last for weeks in a birdbath and not turn to mush.

Display that perfect flower specimen. I picked this one this morning and it still has raindrops on it's petals.

Bring the inside in, that's my mantra......snip a bunch, snip one, it doesn't matter..... when you can't be out in the garden........

Don't be afraid to mix and match. I'm not one for formality and rigid displays, for me it's a loose country feel and I pretty much plonk them into a vase with the occasional tweak.

Whatever you are doing today, try and make some time to pop a bunch of flowers in a vase......or a jar or ??
