RAINDROPS ON FLOWERS

A YEAR IN MY GARDEN FLOWERS

I COULDN'T DECIDE ON A FLOWER OF THE DAY.......

Yesterday while unpacking the office I looked out the window at the soft rain falling.....

I just couldn't resist.....umbrella...camera and Pierre running like a loony glad to be out of the house.

a year in my garden roses

Diamond like drops on roses adorning them like jewellery....

a year in my garden day lilly

I was fascinated by how perfectly the drops just sat there...till Pierre came crashing through the garden.

A YEAR IN MY GARDEN CLEMATIS

I have always loved Clematis and would you believe, this is the first garden I have ever had them in .... there are about 4 different varieties.

AYEAR IN MY GARDEN
A YEAR IN MY GARDEN COTINUS

There are two of the biggest Cotinus Coggygria (Smoke Bush/Tree) that I have ever seen and I would encourage you to have one in the garden. When they are wet they glisten and sparkle, even on the gloomiest day.

A YEAR IN MY GARDEN SMOKE BUSH

When the weather is dry, they sway at the slightest breeze and have that hazy "smokiness"....

A YEAR IN MY GARDEN

Perfectly poised drops....

A YEAR IN MY GARDEN JAPANESE MAPLE

Don't let a bit of rain stop you from getting out in the garden.

TIP: Just after it's rained is the best time to pull some weeds out.

This garden is an absolute treasure and I can't wait to show you over the coming weeks.

We are still pinching ourselves...
