ON A FREEZING COLD MORNING I DROPPED INTO THE POTTING SHED IN BOWRAL- CHECK OUT SOME OF THE GREAT FINDS
When nothing much is happening in the garden, The Potting Shed Bowral is THE place to get some great ideas and purchase some truly special treasures. Every few weeks I try and pay a visit to see what's new, Maureen Gardner who is the owner, is such a clever, clever woman and will always answer any questions you may have about plants. I adore some of her ideas, especially the use of different vessels and planters to pot up bulbs, succulents, annuals and perennials.
Here are just a few.....
Urns, Ornate Silver Planter, Swirly Concrete Pots.
Can't wait to see the Jonquils flowering in these glass jars.
This colour green is gorgeous....
Order woven edging by the metre....or maybe you would like a whimsical woven gate instead.
The mixing of old and new blend seamlessly together. Croquet anyone?
This place is an Aladdins Cave and if you are a Vintage collector, you have hit the jackpot.
A perennial favourite - Adirondack Chair dressed up with bright and cheerful cushions.
A fancy way to store your firewood....
Help yourself to some bulbs....
Where to store the bulbs when you have lifted them......in this of course.
Can you picture this swing, tied to a big old tree branch in the garden.....as you swing gently gazing up into the leaves
How lovely are the words carved into the seat.
As I walked around browsing and taking photos, I could hear the sweetest singing from the resident Canary.
I will leave you with this poetic saying by the famous Vita Sackville West.
