Wind back 7 years........ we built and ran a 100 acre Lavender farm, restaurant, gallery and shop in the Hunter Valley Australia. I get a stress rash just thinking about it! People always have this romantic idea that Lavender equals calmness and serenity. Life was anything but that!
We then did the tree change "in reverse" and moved into a modern warehouse in Newcastle. Not a blade of grass to be seen! Easy to lock up and we finally got to do all that travelling and photography that we never had time for.
We revisited our favourite European cities; Italy for me, France for my husband. I am Greek by the way, but for some strange reason, I love everything Italian....the language, the food and fashion. The only thing is.... Italians don't Greek dance and I love a good Zorba!
With our travel bug satisfied...... at least for the time being, we started to yearn for country life.
Country life was whispering in my ear again.
I FINALLY GOT MY MOJO BACK!
I want to cook, make jam, pick my own fresh veggies, light a bonfire, mow the grass and more importantly wander around the garden and just be. I couldn't do that before, but I feel now...... the second time around it's going to be different.
Say hello to my menagerie, grab a recipe, see what's in season and share all my adventures, wherever they may be......
